POSTPONEMENT OF THE 42nd IVU WORLD VEGFEST IN ACCRA
The Vegetarian Association of Ghana (VegGhana) wishes to inform the general public that due to the unfortunate situation regarding Ebola in the West African sub region and the subsequent directive by the Government of Ghana to ban all international conferences for three months, we have had to postpone the 42nd International Vegetarian Union (IVU) Vegfest which would have been held from October 1st to 6th this year.
On the 24th of October there will be an official launch of this year’s celebration in the company of key stakeholders of health before embarking on a colourful float through the principal streets of Accra to engage the public on the need to lead a healthy lifestyle. Saturday October 25th will be a full day of educational seminars, entertainment, exhibitions, great food and family fun in the Efua Sutherland Park.
The Vegetarian Association of Ghana would like to acknowledge Ecobank for being a major sponsor of the event and encourages other socially responsible corporations and organisations that are committed to a Ghana with healthy citizens to support our noble cause.
